Cupping

Cupping helps to enhance blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and promotes the healing of soft tissues.

Heated glass cups or pressurized cups create gentle suction on the skin.

Cupping therapy involves placing cups traditionally made of glass on the skin. The cups are heated to create suction, which draws the skin and superficial muscle layer upwards into the cup. This technique is believed to mobilize blood flow, promote healing, and provide therapeutic benefits.

Cupping therapy is commonly used for musculoskeletal pain such as neck and shoulder pain, back pain, and even abdominal pain. Cupping promotes healing by improving blood circulation to the area and enhances the body’s natural healing processes. It is also used to alleviate respiratory conditions like asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia by promoting better circulation and relieving congestion.

During a cupping session, the cups are placed on specific points of the body and left in place for a few minutes. As the skin is drawn into the cup, patients may experience a sensation of tightness or pulling. The cups can either be stationary or moved around for a massage effect.

Patients often report immediate relief from pain and tension following cupping sessions.

Cupping therapy is generally considered safe when performed by trained practitioners. It can leave temporary marks or bruises on the skin, which typically fade within a few days.
